Handle 02 (small)

The small handle is a furniture pull handle made of iron, with a square cross-section measuring 6 to 7 mm, hammered and hand-forged using a template. Commonly found on old doors, the various shapes have been documented through surveys in the Quercy, the Massif Central, Normandy, and Provence. There are straight and curved forms, often ergonomic and sometimes with dual functions—for example, one includes a ring, likely intended for hanging a utensil when passing by. Handles 01 and 02 can be mounted either vertically or horizontally, serving as handles for cabinets or drawers.
