Handle 02 (large)

The large handle is a furniture pull handle made of iron, with a square cross-section measuring 6 to 7 mm, hammered and hand-forged using a template. Commonly found on old doors, the various shapes have been documented through surveys conducted in the Quercy, the Massif Central, Normandy, and Provence. These include straight and curved forms, often ergonomic and sometimes designed for dual use—for instance, one features a ring likely intended for hanging a utensil in passing. Handles 01 and 02 can be mounted either vertically or horizontally, serving as handles for cabinets or drawers.
