We support the development of bespoke projects, from hardware to furniture and objects. Each project is a continuation of Inventaire’s approach: pieces whose forms, uses and details originate in the study of ancient and anonymous architecture.
Each project follows a four-stage process — research, drawing, prototyping, and handcrafting in France.
Certain pieces from the Inventaire collection can also be adapted to the specific requirements of a project: dimensions, finishes or details may be adjusted to suit the context, while preserving the original intent and the balance of each piece.
Our production is centred around wrought iron, turned wood and joinery. The workshops we work with, located between Normandy and the south of France, share a common commitment to the transmission and preservation of traditional craftsmanship.
Drawing from a territory, a craft or an architectural context, we begin with a phase of research and documentation.
This research gives rise to a process of study and drawing, carried out in close collaboration with the craftspeople.
From these drawings, the prototype takes shape — an essential stage in which the material, the craft and the intended uses are put to the test, allowing the technical choices to be refined and validated before production.
The piece is then handcrafted in the workshop.
