Rim lock 02A is a large horizontal rim lock designed for interior passage doors, operated by a door handle and fitted with a double latch mechanism. It consists of a forged steel lock case and a strike plate, entirely hand-worked from steel measuring 4 mm and 2 mm thick. The internal mechanism is also made and assembled by hand using high-quality metals. The lock is designed to be paired either with a lever handle or with a wooden or iron knob, depending on your configuration. Inventaire rim locks are made in Normandy by the Fer Art Forge workshop, responsible, among other projects, for the manufacture and maintenance of the two hundred locks at Mont Saint-Michel and for the restoration of the cross on the apse of Notre-Dame de Paris.
