Door plate 01 (medium) for handle

The door plate 01 is a thin hammered iron piece in a circular shape, designed to cover the keyhole. It was observed on the front door of an old village house in the Quercy region. Richly decorated until the end of the 18th century, their designs gradually became simpler. Notably, a similar plate made of copper alloy was recorded at the Dunes necropolis, a Gallo-Roman archaeological site. This rosette is available either with a thumb turn (used for handles or release rods) or for a key.
